Bloom | Preschool
When it comes to learning, preschool/prekindergarten children are developing greater self-control and ingenuity. Their pretend play is more complex and imaginative, and can be sustained for longer periods. They can also make plans and complete tasks. They want to try new things. They also want to be more self-reliant, and seek to expand the areas of their lives where they can be independent decisions makers. We are continuing to water this to bring it to full bloom.
Our preschool program creates a nurturing, structured learning time from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM, 5 days a week. Our Bloom classroom works within this structure while also allowing for extended care for those in need before 9:00 am and/or after 11:30 am. Children must arrive before 9:00 am to ensure proper classtime is respected, and are welcomed as early as parents are in need. Snack is served within the structured class time.

By being a play based center, we focus on deep play and letting the children lead their curriculum. If they are interested in worms and or birds or dinosaurs, we will scaffold their learning around these interests. Learning through play is the way a child learns to learn and how their approach will be is unique to each of them.
Parent partnerships look different for our preschools as we update less on what they ate (although it is important) and more on how to support them in their development in a reflective partnership.
